Outdoor Indulgences


Fun fact: Golf balls travel up to 20% farther at high altitude.  Why not break out your clubs and test the theory out?  The Vail Valley is renowned for its many unique and intriguing mountain golf courses, and as guest of The Pines Lodge, you'll enjoy exclusive access to the award-winning Red Sky Golf Club with side-by-side courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman.  Former PGA Tour Player Larry Rinker is the Director of Instruction at the Red Sky Golf Academy.  

In addition to Red Sky Golf Club, our concierge team can arrange for tee times and club rentals at Beaver Creek Golf Club or the variety of other golf courses in the area.  

Jeep, Hummer, and ATV Tours 

Let an experienced guide drive you through the beautiful Colorado high country in a comfortable four-wheel drive Jeep or Hummer. Explore Colorado’s ghost and mining towns while enjoying panoramas of snowcapped peaks, sapphire lakes and meadows full of wildflowers.

Whitewater River Rafting

Adventure Ridge

Spruce Saddle Activities 

One of Beaver Creek’s original resort structures, Spruce Saddle sits 10,200 feet above the earth.  Take in amazing 360 degree views of the Rockies while enjoying disc golf, croquet, volleyball, tetherball, badminton, and horseshoes; all available at no charge.  Spruce Saddle also offers a delicious mountain lunch and dinners May-September and can even cater to groups of 20 or more.

Mountain Biking 

The Centennial Express Chairlift is your ticket to an extensive network of mountain biking trails atop Beaver Creek Mountain. Nature Hikes 

The Beaver Creek Outdoor Activity Center offers guided hiking on Beaver Creek and Vail Mountains, as well as the Holy Cross Wilderness Area and San Isabel National Forest. Guides are educated in the flora and fauna of the Rocky Mountain as well as the colorful local history. Half day and full day public hikes are available by reservation, and private hikes can be customized for your group. Trail maps are also available for self-guided hiking on Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains.

Horse Stables 

Located just above the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, guided trail rides are available into the surrounding wilderness. Groups typically depart in the morning and the afternoon. Guided fishing trips on horseback are also available and can include lunch.

Fly Fishing 

Cross fly fishing off your bucket list this summer in Beaver Creek.  Professionals can help improve your technique, or teach the basics in gold medal fly fishing waters in the area. Chairlift & Gondola Rides 

Just because winter is a few months off, doesn’t mean we close down the lifts; the views from the lift are even more spectacular in the summer!  Group lift ticket rates are available and vary depending upon the size of your group.

Indoor Indulgences

Indoor Ice Skating 

The Black Family Ice Rink in Beaver Creek is even open in the summer!  Conveniently located in the center of the Beaver Creek Plaza, the rink is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily in the summer. Skate rentals are available.

Vilar Center for the Arts 

The Vilar Center for the Arts at Beaver Creek is a celebrated year-round theatre where guests can enjoy many forms of artistic expression including music, drama, comedy, dance, and the visual arts. The facility, inspired by a small turn-of the century theatre in Munich, features a 530-seat theater, a multi-level lobby, and a 2,000 square foot Visual Arts Gallery. The design alone creates an aura of excitement and anticipation that proves ideal for a reception or a special evening out.


A group photo or video can be coordinated for any event, from a family reunion, to a rare a dogsled tour.
