The Pines Lodge offers ski-in access from Beaver Creek Mountain. With endless powder days, Beaver Creek sees its snow measured in yards instead of feet. With 300 days of sunshine a year, Beaver Creek provides some of the world’s best ski terrain spread over 1,800 acres. Beaver Creek Mountain offers everything from gentle groomers to the famed Birds of Prey World Cup course. Nearby Vail offers over 5,000 acres and a whopping seven back bowls of endless terrain that are consistently rated the top in the country.
Snowshoeing and Nordic Skiing
McCoy Park is a dedicated snowshoe and cross-country ski area that provides a vast array of terrain for exploring the grandeur and peacefulness of the high country. Thirty-two kilometers of beginner, intermediate, and advanced tracked and rustic trails are accessed by the Strawberry Park Express lift, which whisks you to McCoy Park from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. every day. Cross-country and telemark equipment can be rented at the Beaver Creek Nordic Sports Center.
In addition to the terrain at McCoy Park, backcountry tours leave from Golden Peak in Vail. A variety of half-day and full-day tours, lessons, rental equipment, and retail shops are available. Customized Nordic programs can also be arranged to meet any groups' unique needs.
For a truly unique experience, take a breathtaking glide across the snow on one of our amazing dogsled tours. Available mornings and afternoons in the Cordillera area west of Beaver Creek, enjoy a seven-mile, two-hour trip led by happy, healthy huskies. Two riders are allowed per sled, and transportation is included.
Experience a snowmobile tour through the scenic backcountry of Colorado. Tours range from two-hour loops with a hot chocolate break to full-day adventures cruising ridges at over 10,000 feet through the "powder stashes" of the backcountry.
