Outdoor Adventures

Golf
Did you know that golf balls travel up to 20% farther at higher altitudes? Why not get out and take a swing? Tee times can be arranged at a variety of golf courses in the area, including Red Sky Ranch and the Beaver Creek Golf Club, for guests staying in Beaver Creek.

Jeep, Hummer, and ATV Tours
Let an experienced guide drive you through the beautiful Colorado high country in a comfortable four-wheel drive Jeep or Hummer. Enjoy day tours of old ghost towns, mining towns, scenic panoramas, and flower-filled meadows. If you want to do the driving yourself, try an exciting ATV adventure. With easy to drive four wheelers, you will explore the historic Camp Hale area, four different mountain ranges, and the Continental Divide.

Whitewater River Rafting
Experience the thrill of whitewater rafting on the Colorado, Eagle, or Arkansas Rivers. Individuals of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy Colorado's rafting season, which runs from May through early October. According to your preferences, your guide can take you through challenging rapids or a relaxing, lazy float trip.

Hot Air Ballooning
Take a flight of fantasy, and gain a new perspective on the Rocky Mountains. Hot air balloons ascend just after sunrise, and flights last from one to two hours. Guests experience the peaceful thrill of soaring above some of the finest scenery to be found in the world.

Team Building, Adventure Programs
A variety of programs are available that include the high and low challenge ropes courses, plus a wide range of adventure and educational activities. Carefully designed programs are assisting companies and individuals in the increase of workplace productivity, the enhancement of personal performance, and the development well-balanced lifestyles.

Adventure Ridge
Adventure Ridge, situated high atop Vail Mountain™ at 10,450-feet, is the first day and night activity center of its kind...in the world. Guests travel to Adventure Ridge via the quick and comfortable Eagle Bahn™ Gondola. The mountaintop activity center includes a 9-hole regulation disc golf course, horseshoes, croquet, bocce, volleyball, orienteering, indoor laser tag, entertainment, dining, and more! Packages including activities and dining are available to groups.

Ranches
Let us introduce you to the beauty of the high country with a short ride that will take you back a hundred years to the romantic times of cowboys and mountain men. The Vail Valley is home to many ranches that are ideal for daytime or evening activities. Enjoy a true western barbecue with some of the finest ranch cooking this side of the Continental Divide, or try your hand at activities like cattle drives, sporting clay shooting, horseback riding, teambuilding, or fly-fishing. With acres of backcountry wilderness, lots of entertainment, and great food, you've got all the makings for a true Colorado adventure. Play, eat, or just plain relax and enjoy a taste of the Old West with a bit of new spice!

Spruce Saddle Activities
Complimentary Frisbee golf, croquet, volleyball, tetherball, badminton, and horseshoes are available at the top of the Centennial Chair at Spruce Saddle. An Outdoor barbecue lunch is served from 11am-2pm.

Mountain Biking
Take the Centennial Express Chairlift to the top of Beaver Creek Mountain, and enjoy a spectacular, extensive network of mountain bike trails. A wide variety of guided tours and instruction are available, or you can just cruise the mountain on your own. Other local tours include Vail Pass, Shrine Pass, Boreas Pass, Glenwood Canyon, and Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains. Choose from a simple bike rental to a fully guided tour including a gourmet picnic lunch.

Nature Hikes
The Beaver Creek Outdoor Activity Center offers hiking on Beaver Creek and Vail Mountains, as well as the Holy Cross and San Isabel Forest districts. Guides are educated in areas of Rocky Mountain flora, fauna, wildlife, and local history. Half day and full day public hikes are available by reservation, and private hikes can be customized for your group. Trail maps are also available for self-guided hiking on Vail and Beaver Creek Mountains.

Horse Stables
Located just above the base of Beaver Creek Mountain, horse-mounted guides offer trail rides into the wilderness. Groups may depart in the morning or the afternoon. Guided fishing trips on horseback are also available and can include lunch.

Fly Fishing
Experience the great outdoors and try a hand at fishing in Colorado's rivers and lakes. Professional guides can help improve technique or teach the basic skills of fishing to your group. Comprehensive fly fishing schools are offered, as well as guided wade and float trips.

Advance Lift Tickets
Should it suit you, we outline our lift ticket programs and ensure you receive our special group rate (with 20 or more guests), not to mention the benefits that go along with the group lift ticket. We can assist in determining your needs, compile orders, and work with you to have them delivered to the hotel or registration area.

Chairlift & Gondola Rides
The views on the mountaintop are fabulous, and we encourage everyone to ride the chairlifts or the gondola at some point during  a visit to the Vail Valley. Group lift tickets rates are available and vary depending upon the size of the group. (Separate lift tickets are required for Vail and Beaver Creek.)

Ice Skating
The Black Family Ice Rink, in Beaver Creek, is conveniently located in the center of the Beaver Creek Plaza. The rink is open from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily, in the summer. Skate rentals are available.

Indoor Indulgences

Athletic Clubs and Spa Treatments
Beaver Creek and the Vail Valley feature some of the most superb spas and athletic clubs in the country. A variety of special programs are available for groups, from intense workouts to soothing massages and facials.

Vilar Center for the Arts
The new Vilar Center for the Arts at Beaver Creek is a first-class, year-round theatre where guests can enjoy many forms of artistic expression including music, drama, comedy, dance, and the visual arts. The theatre, inspired by a small turn-of the century theatre in Munich, features a 530-seat theater, a multi-level lobby, and a 2,000 square foot Visual Arts Gallery. The design alone creates an aura of excitement and anticipation that prove ideal for a reception or an evening out.

Photography/Videography
A group photo or video can be set up at any event, from an on-mountain lunch or a race to accompany your group on a dogsled tour. A video crew can tape the entire event from start to finish and entertain the group at the final dinner of your stay.
