RockResorts Capture Two of Condé Nast Traveler's Top Ten
Denver, CO, October 21, 2005: Denver-based RockResorts beat out stiff competition to claim coveted placement for two of its resorts in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2004 "Reader’s Choice" Awards. The Pines Lodge in Beaver Creek, CO ranked seventh and Snake River Lodge & Spa in Jackson Hole, WY tied for eighth place in the "Top 50 Resorts in the U.S." category.
"This is the first showing for either property in this annual survey, which highlights the best in the world. For these unique destinations to come out in the top 10 is a tremendous accomplishment," said Ed Mace, President of RockResorts. "These results truly reflect RockResorts’ ongoing commitment to personalized customer service and excellence in luxury travel."
Featured in the November issue of the magazine, the 2004 Readers’ Choice Awards list the world’s top cities, islands, airlines, car rental agencies, cruise lines, hotels and resorts. The final tabulations of 20,167 responses were done by Mediamark Research, Inc., of New York City. Each month, the magazine is seen by an audience of 3.2 million readers, predominantly from the U.S. The magazine is one of the top U.S. consumer travel publications and has been conducting its Readers’ Choice Awards since 1988.
Among premium resort lodging contenders, RockResorts enjoyed unprecedented recognition from the nation’s leading travel publications’ 2004 awards. Condè Nast’s score of 89.2 places Snake River Lodge & Spa as the highest-rated luxury hotel in Wyoming, and The Pines Lodge score of 89.7 makes it as the highest-rated ski-in/ski-out resort in North America. Earlier this year, DEPARTURES’ readers provided their top accolade among North American ski resort hotels to The Lodge at Vail, which was the highest-rated hotel of its type on the continent. The magazine also named The Equinox Resort & Spa in Vermont as the top resort in the Northeast U.S., and Snake River Lodge & Spa as one of the top seven ski resort hotels in North America. Travel + Leisure’s 500 Greatest Hotels in the World, 2004-2005, also included four RockResorts.
